A small crow once wanted to drink. She saw a jug and went to it. There was not much water in the jug. The crow could not put her head into the jug and so she could not drink the water.
But the crow wanted very much to drink. What could she do ?
In the end she did this. She took a small stone and threw it into the jug. Then she took another stone and threw it into the jug. Then she took another stone and yet another stone. She threw many stones into the jug.
The water came up to the middle of the jug, but the crow could not yet drink. So the crow took another stone and threw it into the jug. Then she took another stone and another stone, and yet another stone. Finally the water came to the top of the jug, and now the clever crow could drink.
