A crow once sat on a tree. She had a large piece of cheese in her mouth.

A fox came near the tree. He looked up and saw the crow. He saw the cheese also. He wanted the cheese.

So he sad to the crow, "How beautiful you are! What nice eyes you have! How beautiful your feathers are! What a pity you can not sing!"

"Of course I can sing," sait to the crow. She then opened her mouth and began to sing. "Caw! Caw!" she sang.

When she opened her mouth, the piece of cheese fell down and the fox took it and ate it.

"Thank you," said the fox. "The cheese was nice, and you sing very well. What a pity you don't also think well!"
